| 5th Annual Holidazzle Showcase If your child is enrolled in: Twinkle Stars, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Acro, Turning Out Performing Co, Acting/Voice or Acting Improv, they are part of Holidazzle. (Ballet & Ballet/Tap combos are NOT performing during Holidazzle due to Nutcracker Performanc ) What is Holidazzle? Holidazzle is a very low-key recital type show where students/classes can showcase what they have been working on during the fall semester. This showcase will have music from the holiday season and not just Christmas music. Online ticket sales will end Holidazzle Seating Seating is first come first serve- General Admission except for our graduating senior families. Doors will open at 5:30pm. DROP OFF & PICK UP PROCEDURES:You must sign students in & out on the sign in sheet at Villa. 1 parent is welcome to walk your child into the dressing area to get them set up for the show. Once we begin, all parents will be asked to leave during the performance. After the performance, we ask that 1 parent picks up your child in the dressing area. Parents, please make sure your child is set/cleaned up and exit the dressing area quickly. Families will receive an envelope with a wrist band for Show Day. This wristband MUST be shown to enter the dressing room area. ONLY one per family. If you DO NOT have your wrist band on, you will NOT be able to enter the dressing room. You MUST use the front doors only and NOT the side doors. Please enter and exit the dressing rooms quickly as we have other students and casts coming in. Students ages 12 and older are allowed to exit dressing rooms without their parents (please set up a meeting location) Twinkle Stars will be the first students on stage and will run 6:00-6:30/6:40- after the twinkle stars are done performing we will take a short intermission to dismiss our younger dancers as we know its a late night for them. Twinkle Stars are welcome to stay to watch the rest of Holidazzle from the audience with their families. No ticket is needed for performers. A full schedule will be out soon! ADMITTANCE TO BACKSTAGE AREAS DURING PERFORMANCES:No parents, grandparents, siblings, or family members are permitted in any backstage areas (hallways, dressing rooms, stage area, etc.) during any rehearsals or performances. This is for the safety of all students and staff, to help minimize confusion and help processes run smoothly, and to ensure that our staff is fully aware of all who are backstage with our students. Please do not ask for exceptions. We have ample staff to safely monitor students and run our processes. If you need a student during a rehearsal or performance time, please see Sue Lynch at the front desk, who will assist you in locating the student. Please also note that parents/family are only permitted to be in the lobby area during rehearsals and are not permitted to be in the auditorium. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. |
Important Information: My Child Has A Costume Change: All Costume Changes will take place in the dressing rooms. We are trying to eliminate all quick changes- if for some reason your child has a quick change, they can change on the side of the stage if you have back to back dances. Staff members will be in the dressing room to help younger dancers with any costume changes. Etiquette At The Performance Please stay in your seat while a dance is being performed. If you need to get up to use the restroom, pick up your child, buy a snack, etc…please make sure you wait for the dance to be finished before standing. We don’t want to block anyone’s view. Please also keep conversations down during performances! You don’t know if the family next to you has a child performing! FlowersWe will have fresh flowers for sale! Stop by the booth to purchase! “The Nutcracker; Short & Suite”
It’s officially starting to look like Nutcracker Season!
All Ballet, Ballet/Tap & Turning Out Performing Co members will be once again performing “The Nutcracker Short & Suite”
Holidazzle:
Please note that “The Nutcracker” is different than Holidazzle.
Holidazzle is our Holiday showcase for our Twinkle Stars, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Turing Out Performing Co & Acting/Voice Students. Our Ballet and Ballet/Tap classes WILL NOT be performing at our Holidazzle Event.
The Nutcracker:
This is a “Short & Suite” Version of the Nutcracker which is about 50 mins in length. Our goal with these performance is to share our love of dance and the arts with the community. All performances are 100% optional. All events are complete free for students and parents except, Villa Joseph Marie (Tickets will be on sale soon), The Red Mill and Lehigh Valley Zoo (Student’s tickets for both these events are free- families will receive a code soon for discounted tickets)
Costumes:
Please note that these are rental costumes so please be sure to keep track of all pieces and keep them in good condition. Please also make sure that your child has a nude leotard for changing purposes at our venues. Your child will also need pink tights and pink ballet shoes. We sell all of these items at the studio store!
For outdoor everts- *In case of cool weather, students will wear their Nutcracker T-shirt that they will receive in class (in about a month) with black leggings, black sneaker (or ballet shoes depending on weather conditions. Students are welcome to wear black gloves and black fleece headband if weather is very cold. Layers of clothes under the Nutcracker shirt and black pants are 100% allowed!
Performance day info:
-Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the performance start time with hair, make-up and costume on! Please allow time for parking and traffic as all performances will start exactly on time!
-We will always send reminders each week of the upcoming performances along with any updates or changes. Please make sure to check your email prior to the performance in case of any updates.

-Please arrive with your costume (nude Leo under) and all pieces.
-Hair MUST be in a low bun – No fly Aways
-Stage make-up….red lips, pink blush, mascara, pink/brown/tan eye shadow
Costume Return:
Costumes MUST be returned to the studio on Friday December 20th between the hours of 1:00-7:00. Please put each costume in their own garment bag with all accessories. *Costumes not returned will result in a $75 fee
*Costumes returned after December 20th will be charged a $35 late fee.
Performances:
We have 15 Nutcracker Performances schedule for this season! All performances are 100% optional you can pick to attend 1-2 or all the events, it’s totally up to you!
If students need community service hours, please bring paperwork to any nursing home or hospital with you and we can get those forms signed!

Join us for picture day the week of October 14th during normal class time!
Don’t want a picture? Please still come in costume, hair & make up as we will be taking a group photo and also have an in-studio dress rehearsal.
Cancellation of Classes:
Please note there will be NO weekly Ballet or Ballet/Tap Combo class after November 15th, the last 3 weeks of the semester, due to Nutcracker performances. Although we are canceling 3 hours of your paid class time, you are receiving 15 hours of NutcrackerPerformances…all free except Villa Joseph Marie, Red Mill & Lehigh Valley Zoo.

Join your teacher to celebrate an amazing Nutcracker Season. We will have a craft, snack, dance party and more! Parents are welcome to stay or drop off. Students should not attend he party for the entire time…we suggest about 1hour to enjoy the craft, snack, games and party.
