Twinkle Star Recital (Ages 2-5)

Dress Rehearsal- Saturday May 4th 1:30pm-7:00pm
Tech Night- Friday May 10th- 4:30-8:30
Recital- Saturday May 11th 10:00 (Cast A) 2:30 (Cast B)




Need back to dance items? 
Visit our store before your class! 
Please arrive 15-20 minutes before your class if you need shoes as it takes time and we do not want you to be late for your class! 
Shoes, Tights, Leos, Bags, Tank Tops and More! 




Last Call This Week: Daddy/Daughter Dance
Our Daddy/Daughter dance will take place prior to each Recital. You child will be assigned which Recital they are performing in with their “dads” (Any adult can perform). We will make sure your child dances during their assigned recital. 
Dad rehearsal will be held on Tuesdays and/or Wednesday 6:30, 7:00 and 8:30 starting in late January. Cost is $165/$185 and includes costume. If you have a costume that fits from last year, please email the office and we can remove the $50 Twinkle Stars/$60 Show Stars costume fee.

Inclement Weather
If BCDTA has to close due to weather, we will send an email at least 2 hours before the class and also post on our website and social media. 
Twinkle Stars can attend any class during the course of the semester for a make-up. Show Stars have additional rehearsals build into the semester as snow make ups (Finale Rehearsal & Staging Rehearsal). 




Parking and Parking Lot Safety:
Please do not do a carline where it blocks Total Eye Care’s Parking lot and front door. Go though the lot and pull up to the side of our building where the Driver is closest to our bushes. BCDTA is home to children of all ages, the speed limit is 5mph. Please enter and exit our parking lot with extreme caution. Never park your vehicle in any area that is not a designated parking space. Please do not leave your car idling. Please do not allow siblings to play in the parking lot!
Please DO NOT park near the bushes/our picnic area. That is our car line and you will get stuck! Please park in the upper parking lot. 






What to bring to class: 
-Water Bottle
-Dance Shoes (Please DO NOT wear your shoes outside) Hip Hop must bring clean sneakers for class.
-Jacket & Layers for class
-Twinkle Stars please bring all props.(Small Stuffed animal, Tiara, Wands, Ribbon Stick and Holiday props TBA) 




Balances:
Spring Tuition balances are due the week of January 15th. 
($35 late fee for any unpaid balances after this week)
You can pay your balance online on the homepage of our website, using our PayPal- bcdiscoveries@yahoo.com, venmo @BCDiscoveries, or at the studio or you can drop off a check to our studios front desk.




Staying Informed:
We work hard to make the dance experience organized and fun. Keeping you informed is one of our primary goals. Please read all newsletters and other school information that comes to you through handouts and emails.
Please make sure to read all of these in full as they contain important information about fall semester. Please note that if you have previously unsubscribed from our emails or if you do so during the course of the semester, we will be unable to send you emails. Constant contact will not allow us to add your email if you have previously unsubscribed. If you have done so, please log onto the website and sign up for emails. Please email us when you have done so, so that we can add you to the appropriate email lists.

Medical Information:
Parents must notify us (via email bcdiscoveries@yahoo.com) regarding children who use an inhaler or who may require medications during their time at BCDTA. It is also important to inform us of your child’s existing medical conditions, allergies (including allergy action plans), or learning disabilities at the time of registration and throughout the school year. Our teachers are trained professionals who enjoy working with all children, and the more we know about your child, the better the dance experience will be for all involved. All information about our students is confidential. Please note, for students with allergies, students do bring snacks to class and we also sell snacks and drinks in our BCDTA boutique.

*PLEASE NOTE IF YOU WISH TO SHOP IN THE STORE THE FIRST WEEK OF CLASSES, PLEASE ARRIVE 15-20 MINS PRIOR TO YOUR CLASS!




Attire for classes:
(Please note Jazz classes will need a certain color shoe for the recital. We will be announcing what shoe color you need asap. 
We are just finalizing costumes and making sure ship dates are ok)


-PLEASE NO LOGOS; SOLID COLORS ONLY.
-HAIR MUST BE PULLED OFF OF THE FACE.

Any Color Leotard, Pink Tights, Pink Ballet Shoes, Black Tap Shoes, Skirt or Shorts optional

Jazz/Tap Combo Classes:
Any Solid Color Tank Top, Black Shorts/Leggings/Capris, Tan or Black Jazz Shoes, Black Tap Shoes


Dance Theater/Lyrical:

Tap:

Lost and Found:
Make sure to mark all dancewear, shoes, and personal items with your child’s name. Unfortunately one of our regulations states we cannot have a lost & found at the studio. If your child’s name is on their belongings, we can call you to let you know we have it at the studio.
