BC Discoveries Twinkle Star Program for 2-5 year olds introduces ballet, tap, and creative movement!

The Twinkle Star program allows for students to learn motor skills and build confidence at a young age! Each year of Twinkle Stars provides skills that ensure growth to challenge the skill set of each age and provides a consistent program for students to master.

Storytelling through movement, skill building, socialization, group play, and turn taking are just a few of the benefits of Twinkle Star Dance! The Twinkle Star program provides an opportunity for students to perform for parents at their December Showcase where parents are invited to watch their students shine in class, and then at the end of the year Twinkle Star Recital.

This recital is exclusively for our 2-5 year old students! Students perform both a ballet and tap routine and have the opportunity to dance with Dad or another male role model in the Daddy Daughter Dance. This recital allows the 2-5 year olds the opportunity to perform onstage without the length and stress of a traditional full studio recital.

BC Discoveries Twinkle Stars have also been spotted performing around the community at local retirement homes, Sesame Place, Peddler’s Village, and Newtown Welcome Day!

BC Discoveries Twinkle Stars is proud to be celebrating their eighth season this year.  You can “Dance Your Way” this season-outside, inside, classes with masks, classes without masks, virtually on Zoom or a hybrid!  All students, in person or on zoom, will need the following items each week for class. (Holiday items will only be needed for holiday weeks) Families have the option of supplying your own items, buying a fully made basket, or buying individual items at BCDTA. We highly suggest not letting your child play with these items at home as if they are lost and not brought to class, we are unable to supply any of these items to borrow. Items will be on sale at all our open houses.
